Maybe you've had your mind set on donating to an organization for some time now, maybe donating hadn't crossed your mind yet, or maybe you've wanted to donate but didn't know where to send money. Today, we are going to take inspiration from our truest passions and donate to the causes that resonate with us most deeply. Take the time to look into the places you are sending your money, and be honest with yourself when gauging how much you can afford to give.
For me, the topic of animal rights has always been a passion. But that passion laid dormant for many years, as I ate a vegetarian diet (my most logical conclusion) and didn't ask many more questions. Mercy for Animals, however, is a non-profit organization that helped open my eyes a bit further to the ecological, ethical, and health conflicts that are brought about in more areas than just the meat industry. I am extremely grateful and continually impressed by their success in investigating and in speaking clearly on behalf of those without a voice. While there are many organizations and causes to which I'd like to donate (and may very well do so in days to come) this one has been at the top of my list for some time, and I was glad to finally lend my hand in giving back today.
